 Product Description 

Magnesium Sulphate is a sulphate based magnesium and sulphur fertilizer. It is made from magnesium oxide and pure sulfuric acid as raw materials. The product is white crystal/powder/granular, and the size is 0.1-1mm. With PH value is 5-8, having no significant odour, cool and a little bitter, easy to soluble in water. The product will be weathered to powder if exposed to the air. In addition, it can absorb moisture easily. If heated, it will gradually get rid of crystal water and turns to be magnesium sulphate anhydrous.

It contains the nutrients magnesium and sulphur in a fully water-soluble and therefore immediately plant available form. It also has many medical uses, and used bath additive known as epsom salts.

 Application 

FERTILIZER

Magnesium is an important element in chlorophyll, is necessary for photosynthesis. It benefits for crop growth and high yield. Magnesium is activator for many enzymes, is able to accelerate metabolism for carbohydrate, composition for nucleic acid, transform for phosphate, etc. It involves in the synthesis of proteins as an element of multi-core proteins, it’s the transmission medium of genes as part of the composition of genes. Comparing with other fertilizers, its significant advantage is higher solubility.

Moreover, Magnesium sulphate not only provides magnesium and sulfate element which can bring rich nutrition to crops, benefit for crops growth and high yield, but also loosen soil at the same time treats the soil. It can also improve the symptoms of lacking of “sulfur” and “magnesium”.

Magnesium and other 15 elements are considered as nutrition for plant growth and high yield. Traditional fertilizer container such nutrient content as N,P,K, which can not enhance crop yield obviously, while, medium nutrient content (Ca, Mg, S) and minim nutrient ingredients (Zn,Cu,Fe,Mn,B,Mo and Cl) become less and less. It will cause low yield of crops. It is tested that the main reason is too much exploit of magnesium from the soil. Magnesium is important ingredient for enhancing productivity and agriculture yield. So it needs compensated in time.

ANIMAL ADDITIVE

Magnesium sulfate in feed grade is considered as supplement for magnesium in feed production. Magnesium is necessary element in bone building and muscle constriction for animals. It’s activator for many enzymes for animals. It plays an important role in metaboly and nerve function for animals. If animals lack of magnesium, it will lead dysfunction of metaboly and nerve function, maladjustment of supply, and affect animals’s growth, even lead to death.

Generally, farmers make magnesium sulphate application in pastures from the early spring to the end of the year or until the grass can provide adequate magnesium. It can also be added appropriately in feed and drinking water to meet growing demand of dairy cow’s sebum, in order to improve the quality and quantity of milk.

MEDICINE

It has laxative properties and provides relief from constipation.

Used for the treatment of preeclampsia in pregnant women.

It is administered intravenously or intramuscularly to pregnant women in order to prevent premature labor. It is also used to reduce convulsions during childbirth.

Used for treating severe asthma attacks.

Epsom salt dissolved in water can be applied topically on arthritic joints; patients suffering from osteoporosis have also experienced marked improvement in the painful condition after application of Epsom salt gel.

Epsom salt is used in flotation therapy can complete relaxation of the body.

It can cure a number of skin problems.

Epsom salt can be included in the hair care regime as well.

COAGULATING AGENT

Used as a coagulating agent in soy milk for making tofu.

DEHYDRATING AGENT

Anhydrous magnesium sulfate acts as an excellent dehydrating agent in chemical synthesis of organic compounds.

 Application Recommendation 

As base fertilizer:

Magnesium sulphate can be used as a straight fertilizer or as a component in compound fertilizers.

As dressing fertilizer:

Magnesium sulfate can be used in ditches or dissolved in water, once gives full measure.

As foliar fertilizer;

Magnesium sulfate can be used in the initial growing period and middle growing period.

There are different requirements of spraying concentration in different crops and the different growth stages of the same crop. For instance, fruit trees should be 0.5-1.0%; vegetables should be 0.2-0.5% and crops should be 0.3-0.8%.
